HPLS Criminal Record Discrimination Project |

The Homeless Persons’ Legal Service (HPLS) wants find out homeless people’s experience of discrimination on the grounds of past criminal record. The HPLS often hears stories of people not being offered a job or not getting a house because they have a criminal record that is years and years old and not relevant to the job they are applying for. If you have had been discriminated against because of your prior criminal record, please click on the cartoon video below and then tell us your story via the link under the cartoon! Please note that you do not have to provide your name or anything that would identify you. Once your provide a story it will be emailed directly to HPLS. Using your stories and experiences, HPLS will then make recommendations to government so that we can hopefully change things for the better.
