Services to the homeless can be delivered in a range of ways and any one organisation may use only one way or many different ways. Supported accommodation services, may provide accommodation and also a case management program, or they may only provide the accommodation and the needs of residents may be met through case management conducted by a partner organisation. Some food services only provide food - the traditional 'soup kitchen' - others may use a food service as a means of doing more supportive outreach, for example also running a free health check up service. Some services will advocate on behalf of individual clients, others engage in systemic advocacy and community development.
